Ivanhoe chun-ho lam

Over the past decade, Ivanhoe Lam has used accumulated technical skills to integrate multimedia design into his projects in surprising and original ways, while his directing experiences have demonstrated his facility across disciplines.
CREATING
Instead of relying on what has worked before without interrogating our own biases and blindspots, Ivanhoe encourages a constant re-examination of creative processes, with proper thought given to the incredible tools and resources at hand.
BRIDGING
By bringing together artists with diverse backgrounds, methods and aesthetic approaches, Ivanhoe believes personal, multivalent performances that resonate for global audiences can be developed.
EXPANDING
Ivanhoe is interested in breaking down the boundaries between artforms, to allow artists and audiences to communicate and build meaning(s) together, while deconstructing and reconsidering our shared, inherited vocabulary.
TRANSCENDING
Through the upcoming research and development tenure, Ivanhoe is seeking to anticipate and explore newer forms of expression in contemporary theatre. He hopes we can transcend what once felt like hard limits.
